"Team up and meet Europe"

My dream of "educational tourism" came true in our school. Comenius supports school learning with the possibility to find out about other schools and cultural institutions in Europe. Every trip must be carefully prepared; well-prepared we can see more because we understand more. If I went to Grimstad as an ordinary tourist I would of course wonder at the sights and landscapes, as Noble Prize winner Hamsun spent the last years of his life, but I would not be able to appreciate them because I would not have the opportunity to follow his steps together with a wonderful museum worker. An educational visit "opens the door" which are most often closed for an ordinary tourist.

Erik Gundersen (Ibsen's Museum worker) took as for a walk along Knut Hamsun's track (a Norwegian writer and a noble Prize winner in 1920). This young and modest man only at the end of the walk admitted that his grandfather (also Erik Gundersen) established a bank in Grimstad and was an important enough person in the town to have his stone torso erected by this old bank. We took a picture there. We had a great opportunity to have a closer look at Ibsen's Museum than other tourists.

We devote particularly much space to Norway on this website because the year 2005 is especially important to this country for historical reasons. A hundred years ago, Norway and Sweden peacefully dissolved their union. This and many other interesting things you can find on www.amb-norwegia.pl

During the first year of the project we could see the charming places that our Greek and Norwegian partners live and work in.Next meetings are going to take place in Poland and Slovenia. See today where we live.

First let's have a look at Slovenia

Gdańsk is going to host project partners in 2005. We'll show you the city very close, and now see what the oldest part of the city looks like (a bit from the air and a bit from the ground).
